John McCart studied at Belfast College of Art. For many years, he worked as a commercial painter, traveling the world extensively and receiving commissions for murals in corporate and public spaces. His explorations around the world have provided unlimited material and influenced his work significantly. He never ceases to be excited or challenged by the road of discovery on which he travels and his great versatility and imagination as an artist continues to enable him to describe with endearing honesty each personal experience. John is in reclusive residence somewhere in the Sulu Archipelago.
